Week 1, 9/4 to 9/8

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

1st per -7:35am to 8:37am
2nd per- 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time: 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Labor Day - No School.

HW - Come to class prepared tomorrow :o)

Tuesday - Class introduction with syllabus. Lab Safety Contract and Informed Consent Agreement/Permission to Publish handed out as well.

We will begin looking at pictures of Mt Saint Helens today as well as we setup our notebooks. I will collect both notebooks from everyone today and they will stay with me in class all year.

HW - Get all your paperwork for Science and Cispus to your parents. Have your parents sign as much as they can today and then bring them back tomorrow.

Wednesday - Today we will continue to look at pictures of Mt. Saint Helens while we draw/sketch different parts of the mountain.

HW - Just to get us the Cispus paperwork and the lab safety contract and informed consent agreement.

Thursday - We have some more pictures to look at of the Mt Saint Helens lava dome. It's been quite active this summer!

HW - None, unless you still haven't turned in your Cispus paperwork, your lab safety contract and informed consent agreement. And if you don't have a composition notebook for science yet, get one soon.

Friday - Today we will have our Internet Agreement safety lesson (the one we put off on Tuesday).

HW - Same as above.

 

7th grade Science:

Monday - Labor Day - No School.

HW - Come to class prepared tomorrow :o)

Tuesday - Class Introduction with Syllabus and mention of Lab Safety Contract.

Today we will start with a paper airplane lab to start practicing doing labs via the scientific method.

HW - Get all your paperwork signed by a parent and returned to Ms. Berg by tomorrow. Get your two science composition notebooks as soon as you can.

Wednesday - Today we will complete an activity on Observation vs. Inference.

HW - Just to get your lab safety contract and informed consent agreement signed by a parent and handed in to Ms. Berg if you haven't already.

Thursday - Today we will finish the Observation vs Inference activity and debrief.

HW - None, unless you still have to get your packet all signed and turned in to Ms. Berg.

Friday - Today we will finish debriefing our Observation vs Inference activity. Then students will fill out a summarizing sheet to show what they have learned about observing and making inferences.

HW - Same as above.

 

 

 

8th grade Computers:

Monday - Labor Day - No School.

HW - Come to class prepared tomorrow :o)

Tuesday - Class introduction with syllabus and permission to publish. Class blog information. (Students also got a How to Blog info letter.)

Then we will begin with our first Fireworks lesson!

HW - Get your Permission to Publish form signed and your Blog perimssion. Also read and sign your Blogger's Contract.

Wednesday - I will collect blogging contracts and permission to publish sheets today.

Then we will continue to work with Fireworks.

HW - To get your Blog permission/contract and your permission to publish signed by a parent.

Thursday - We will continue to practice using Fireworks to draw pictures.

HW - None, unless you haven't turned in your Blog permission/contract and your permission to publish signed by a parent. If you have permission, start blogging!

Friday - Students will continue to draw pictures with Fireworks. Today students are making animations.

HW - Same as above.
