6th grade Science:

Monday - No School - Still Winter Break!
HW - Happy New Year!
Tuesday - Today we will finish our EMM lesson 7 lab by having students graph their data and write their conclusion paragraphs using the Inquiry Boards.
HW - None
Wednesday - Today we will finish writing our EMM lesson 7 lab paragraphs. Then we will use spring scales to determine how much force in Newtons our motors can generate with three D-cell batteries connected in series. After that we will reflect by answering questions 1. D. and 2 in the textbook page 67.

Thursday - We will work on finishing EMM lesson 7, part 2, using spring scales to determine how much force in Newtons our motors can generate with three D-cell batteries connected in series. After that we will reflect by answering questions 1. D. and 2 in the textbook page 67.

Friday - Once we are done with EMM lesson 7 we will finish the lesson 6 reading and begin the lesson 7 reading.
Most classes had time to finish both sets of readings today. Those students who did not finish were asked to come in at lunch to get their work done. Fourth period was the class that wasted the most time so they will need to make up the lesson 7 reading when we're done with lesson 8.

7th grade Science:

Monday - No School - Still Winter Break!
HW - Happy New Year!
Tuesday - Students will continue to take notes for their Sink or Float webquest as they answer the questions which will be the topic for their final project products.
Students are expected to take notes on what they learned from each of the excellent websites. They must take more complete and detailed notes on the websites that pertain to the topic on which they will be doing their final project.
HW - None
Wednesday - Same as yesterday. We are still on the research/note-taking phase of this project. Students should be choosing which end product they will create to present their findings to the class.
HW - None
Thursday - Same as Tuesday. Tomorrow is the deadline for the research/note-taking phase of this project.
HW - None
Friday - Same as Tuesday. Today will be the last class day to work on research/notes. If anyone is not done by today they will need to finish their notes for homework (the library is available for those with no Internet at home).
HW - Finish your notes if you didn't finish in class.
