Mr. González's Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 2, 12/10 to 12/14

6th grade Science: Monday - This week students are presenting their PowerPoints. This is the week where students share what they learned and their results so everyone can learn all the water quality parameters. HW - None Tuesday - Same as Monday HW - None Wednesday - Same as Monday HW - None Thursday - Today is the 6th grade Market day in the morning so I will not see 1st and 2nd period for Science. My 6th period Science class will be working on either finishing presentations or storyboarding ideas for their website. HW - None Friday - Today we will try to finish all the presentations. Each class has two to three teams left to present. HW - None

7th grade Science: Monday - We will look at what scientists think about living things by reading Ch 1, section 2, pages 14 through 18 from Glencoe Life Science, 2002. HW - Blog Tuesday - Same as Monday continued. HW - Blog Wednesday - Today we finished up reading Ch 1, section 2 and then we began watching a video, "Biology, the Basics". Students are still editing their definition of LIVING and they are also taking notes while watching the video using a Video Debrief sheet. HW - Blog Thursday - Today we finished watching "Biology, the Basics" and started watching "Biology, the Science of Life." HW - Blog Friday - Today we will finish watching "Biology, the Science of Life." Then we will begin to look at the microscopic world by viewing some creek water under my QX5 Digital Microscopes. In 4th period we had some technical difficulties and in 5th we ran out of time! We'll try this again on Monday. HW - Blog
