Monday - President's
Day - No School!
HW - None
Tuesday - Today
6th graders will be assigned new Science teams as we start
a new unit of study - Energy, Machines, and Motion.
Students will take some time
to get used to their new teams and choose jobs.
Then we will setup our new
notebooks with a new Table
of Contents sheet and a new Notebook
grading sheet.
HW - None
Wednesday - I
will have a sub today as I attend a Science kit training where
I will become a trainer for teacher's in this area who purchase
the STC/MS Energy, Machines, and Motion kit. And that just happens
to be the kit that we are going to start using today!
Since I will have a sub students
won't start the first lab today but instead they will start
with the end of lab reading. Students will read and answer
questions for Energy, Machines, and Motion (EMM) lesson 1.
Students will answer questions and then go over their responses
with the sub.
If they have time they will
move on to the lesson 2 reading.
HW - None
Thursday - I
will still be gone today so students will continue the reading
with my sub. If they get done with EMM lesson 2 they can move
on lesson 3.
HW - None
Friday - Today
we will go ahead and start EMM lesson 2. We will start the
actual lab on Monday.
I also introduced students
to their upcoming blogging
project and I sent home a parent
letter and permission slip. Please show that to your parents
and bring it back signed on Monday.
HW - Get the parent
blog letter signed and turn it in on Monday.
