Week 14, 3/10 to 3/14

Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will continue to work on the EMM Lesson 4 lab on Storing and Using Energy in a Battery.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today we will finish the EMM Lesson 4 lab and we will start reflecting on that lab as well.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today students will work on the EMM Lesson 4 reading questions with my sub since I will be away at our second day training for the 7th grade Longboat Outdoor Education experience coming up at the end of May.

If they finish early they can work on their p. 29 lesson 4 reflection questions.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we will go over the lesson 4 reflection questions.

HW - None

Friday - Today we will learn how to diagram energy transfers. (Period 6 didn't get that far so they will need to do this on Monday.)

Then I will show students how to complete the blog assignment #2 (linking their water quality webs to their blog).

HW - Here are my EMM Lesson 4 notes (the reflection part only consists of the questions, you would still need to work after school on getting the answers).

 

7th grade Science:

Monday - HIV/AIDS presentations!

HW - None

Tuesday - HIV/AIDS presentations!

HW - Finish your AIDS Walk poster due Friday. (Turn one in for a grade even if you don't want yours to win the competition and be chosen). The theme is Be Smart, Take Control.

Wednesday - Today we will finish pgs 52 to 55 in the Life Science textbook on viruses.

Then students will do an activity on the classification of living things.

I will be away at our second day training for the 7th grade Longboat Outdoor Education experience coming up at the end of May.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we will go over the answers to the virus questions on page 55.

HW - None

Friday - Today I will collect the HIV/AIDS Walk posters.

Then we will review what the students did for the classification of living things activity.

HW - 7th graders were offered the opportunity to get any last minute work done this weekend to boost their 2nd trimester grades!
