Week 10, 11/3 to 11/7

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will visit Chimacum Creek again so that kits teams can finish up what they need and for the fecal coliform team to do their test.

1st period it worked fine then we had problems with the equipment 6th period.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today we will continue to work on taking notes as students study their specific jobs (using the Cornell Note-Taking Method of course). Fecal coliform groups will look at their data.

None of our samples provided any data and unfortunately our aparatus broke so we won't have any fecal coliform data this year. I will have those kids test for carbon dioxide and tannins.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today students did an activity to see what their ideas are about air. They took the Air Ideas Probe.

HW - None

Thursday - Today I will have a sub as I attend a leadership conference. Student will continue to work on taking notes as students study their specific jobs (using the Cornell Note-Taking Method of course).

HW - None

Friday - Same as yesterday.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will look at a few clips explaining conduction, raditation and convection as we continue our study of those three thermal energy interactions.

HW - None

Tuesday - Students will work on a WebQuest called The Heat is On! in our continued study of conduction, raditation and convection. This WebQuest is part review, part new learning.

HW - None

Wednesday - Students will get time today to finish The Heat is On! WebQuest. Then we will go over the answers.

HW - None

Thursday - Today I will have a sub as I attend a leadership conference. Students will be working on Chapter 7, Section 1, page 212 (read and answer the end of section review questions).

HW - None

Friday - Today we will take a formative assessment probe and take the online heat transfer quiz at the same time.

HW - None
