6th grade Science:

Monday -Today students will begin the MSH/Volcanoes Project. They will begin by sketching and writing descriptions about the different types of volcanoes.

HW - This week I am assigning the first two blog assignments. Assignment #1 is to write seven random facts about yourself.

The second assignment is to write about your experience at Camp Cispus.

Tuesday - Today students will continue to work on the MSH/Volcanoes Project. (I will have a sub 6th period as I attend a Chimacum Math/Science planning meeting.)

HW - See Monday's HW.

Wednesday - Today students will continue to work on the MSH/Volcanoes Project.

HW - See Monday's HW.

Thursday -Today students will continue to work on the MSH/Volcanoes Project. I am trying to get all students to be done with all five volcano types and all four lava types by today or early tomorrow.

HW - See Monday's HW.

Friday - Today students will continue to work on the MSH/Volcanoes Project. I really want students to start the Mt Saint Helens section of this project today. We need to start getting ready for the Water Quality project next week so we don't have all week to work on volcanoes and Mt Saint Helens.

HW - See Monday's HW and if you are NOT done with the five volcano types and the four lava types you need to finish it for homework this weekend.

7/8 grade Science:

Monday - This week 7th graders will return to their regular Science classes so we will review what students did during the Cispus week with the pre-biome journalism activity. Students will also get time to finish their surveys from Friday and finish setting up their Science notebooks.

Then students will start the research phase for the biome journalism project.

HW - This week I am assigning the first two blog assignments. Assignment #1 is to write seven random facts about yourself (for those who already did that last year they can change or keep theirs the same).

The second assignment is to write your impressions of one of the two articles you read for the pre-biome journalism activity.

Tuesday - Today students will continue to take notes as they research their biomes for the biome journalism project. (I will have a sub 4th period as I attend a Chimacum Math/Science planning meeting.)

HW - See Monday's HW.

Wednesday - Today students will continue to take notes as they research their biomes for the biome journalism project.

HW - See Monday's HW.

Thursday -Today students will continue to take notes as they research their biomes for the biome journalism project.

HW - See Monday's HW.

Friday - Today students will continue to take notes as they research their biomes for the biome journalism project and since we will be switching things up for longboats again next week students need to get all their notes done so that we can be done with the research phase.

HW - See Monday's HW.
