Week 6, 10/12 to 10/16

1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am - 6th grade Science (Langston)
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am - 7/8 Science
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am - 6th grade Science (Olafson)
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm - 7/8 Science
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm - Planning
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm - 6th grade Science (Meacham)

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today water quality teams will work on the freshwater pollution webquest.

HW - Those who have not completed their Blogging homework, or their volcano or lava drawings/descriptions, or their Mt Saint Helens sketches have homework this week!

Tuesday - Today we will have an Early Release and we will only have 1st, 3rd and 5th period. I will have a substitute while I am off to a Science leadership meeting. Sixth graders will work on their freshwater pollution webquest.

HW - See Monday

Wednesday - Today we will have an Early Release and we will only have 2nd, 4th and 6th period. Sixth graders will work on their freshwater pollution webquest.

Thursday - Student teams are still working on reading through the resource websites to answer the questions of their freshwater pollution webquest.

Friday - Today will be pretty much the same as yesterday as students continue to read through the websites to answer the freshwater pollution webquest questions.

7/8 grade Science:

Monday - Today students will watch a 36 minute video on weather and climate to help them understand the weather part of their biome research.

HW - Those who have not completed their Blogging homework, or are far behind on their biome notes (or 8th graders who didn't get their Global Warming notes done) have homework this week.

Tuesday -Today we will have an Early Release and we will only have 1st, 3rd and 5th period. This means that neither of my 7/8 Science classes are meeting today.

HW - See Monday

Wednesday - Today we will have an Early Release and we will only have 2nd, 4th and 6th period. We will finish watching our weather and climate video.

Teams can begin to design their podcast by writing their scripts once their research is complete. Once we are done the weather and climate video we will discuss what students need to do to make a complete and well executed podcast video.

HW - See Monday

Thursday - Student teams are beginning to plan their biome video podcasts. Some teams are gathering pictures and more information while some teams have begun to do some planning and script writing.

Friday - Same as yesterday as teams continue to plan their videos and scripts.
