6th grade Science:

Monday - President's Day - No School
HW - None, unless you are behind.
Tuesday - Today will be the official and real deadline to finish typing the water quality notes. Tomorrow we will move on so that we can hopefully finish this project by March!
I have a sub while I'm at Sequim at my Math/Science Partnership meeting.

Wednesday - Today we will take a look at some wikis made by students to see what makes a successful wiki. Then we will look at water quality websites that previous 6th graders made to see what works and what doesn't work. This will help all this year's 6th graders make the best water quality wiki they can this year.
Students will download the evalmid.pdf file from the following website. (I got the evaluation document from Kathy Schrock's website.)

Thursday - Today students will continue to evaluate the wiki sites we started evaluating yesterday.

Friday - Today students will begin to evaluate the websites 6th graders have made for this project in the past. The goal is to discover what makes a website or wiki "good."
They have been using the evalmid.pdf to evaluate the wikis and former 6th grade websites and today they will start to fill out the following questionnaire sheet.
We will finish this on Monday in class so no need to do this for homework.

7/8 grade Science:

Monday - President's Day - No School

Tuesday - Today students will complete Ch 13, section 3, pgs. 439 to 443.

Wednesday - Today in my 2nd period class teams will check their data from the Earth Movement Project. Here are the plate boundary job maps in case you need to see them again.
My 4th period class will be split up as 8th graders attend their career day sessions.

Thursday - Teams are working on plate boundary types as part of their Earth Movement Project.
HW - None
Friday - As teams finish defining all the plate boundary types along their specific plate they will share what they found with the class.
Second period got through half of the teams and 4th period didn't get started so we will continue this on Monday.
