HW - Show your parents the midterm progress report.

Tuesday - Today we will go over the answers to yesterday's questions (student sheet 5.1).

Then we will begin part 2 of this lab (inquiry 5.2) on the force of gravity (students will explore the relationship betweeh mass and weight).

Here are the class notes students have taken so far.

HW - Show your parents the midterm progress report.

Wednesday - I will have a sub today so teams will work on blogging on what they learned about elastic force.

HW - None

Thursday - Today students will continue to work on Inquiry 5.2. Students will work in their teams to design an experiment to learn about the relationship between mass and weight.

HW - None

Friday - I had a family emergency today and had a sub. Sixth graders read and answered questions on the lessons 1 and 4 reading in the EMM textbooks.

HW - None

7/8 grade Science:

Monday - Today we will continue to read and take notes on the weathering and erosion webquest that we started last Friday.

HW - Show your parents the midterm progress report. And show your parents your volcano project!

Tuesday - Today we will continue to take notes on weathering and then erosion.

Here are the notes each class came up with:
Per 2
Per 4

HW - Show your parents the midterm progress report.

Wednesday - I will have a sub today.

I have two formative assessment questions for students to answer about fossils on mountaintops and about Earth's mass.

Then teams will start to research real world problems caused by weathering and erosion. Each team will pick one problem to explore and for which to create a solution.

HW - None

Thursday - Today teams will continue their real world problem and solution research for the weathering and erosion webquest.

HW - None
