6th grade Science:

Monday - As students finish working on theSalmon Webquest I will show them how to upload their salmon drawings so they can put the pictures on their blogs.

Once students finish their salmon work they can begin the next two sections on the water cycle and benthic macroinvertebrates. We gotten so close to our winter break that I think it will be best to wait until we get back in January to start learning how to test Chimacum Creek's water quality.

HW - None unless you have not finished the description, needs and threats section of all six stages of the salmon's life cycle. Show your parents your progress report and your grade selection sheet.

Tuesday - Same as Monday. (3rd period is ahead of 1st and 6th so they have begun uploading their salmon drawings to the internet to put them on their blogs.)

HW - I am encouraging students who aren't done writing descriptions, needs and threats for all six stages of the salmon's life cycle to catch up at home because all students should be at the drawing phase by now.

We also spend several minutes each day checking our blogs for comments and reading the work of our blog pals from the east coast to leave them comments.

HW - Show your parents your progress report, your grades selection sheet, and your quiz responses.

Tuesday -Same as Monday. (5th period is all done with pages 9, 11 and 12 in their microscope packets of so they have all moved on the Minipond Safari where they are locating and identifying microscopic animals and plants in their creek water sample (our miniponds). 2nd period has many students who are still working on pages 9, 11 and 12 in their microscope packets.
