Week 2, 12/13 to 12/17

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - First and Sixth period are working on completing their descriptions, needs and threats for all the stages of the salmon life cycle. Once they are done they will draw each stage and then I will show them how to upload their pictures so they can put their written work and pictures on their blogs. Third period has begun this process and many are still working on it.

Students who are done and waiting for the next step have begun to work on the water cycle.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will have a substitute while I work with my middle and high school Science team.

Students will continue to work on their salmon life cycle work.

HW - None

Wednesday - I am waiting for 1st and 6th period to be ready so that I can show them how to upload their pictures and put them on their blogs. Otherwise, they can continue to work on the salmon life cycle or the water cycle.

HW - None

Thursday - Students who are ready are uploading their salmon pictures to add them to their salmon life cycle blogs.

HW - None

Friday - Students are still working on uploading their salmon pictures and adding them to their blogs. Those who are done are working on the water cycle.

HW - None

 

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today students are finishing up their minipond safaris and working on observing living paramecia and other microorganisms under the microscope.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will have a substitute while I work with my middle and high school Science team.

Students worked on the following activity.

Wednesday - Today I'm going to have students answer and share responses about what cells are. I want to see where they are in learning about cells.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we went over what students think are made of cells. We had a class discussion on what things are made of cells and what things are not.

HW - None

Friday - Today we continued the work we began on Wednesday and were doing yesterday. Students were looking up and sharing their findings of things that they thought were made of cells or not.

HW - None
