Wednesday - Today we are going finalize our ideas of what things are made of cells. Then we begin to look at cell sizes.

Second period was preparing today to set fish traps tomorrow. Friday 2nd period will retrieve the traps and identify and count the fish. We are doing this as part of life science and at the same time reporting our results to the Jefferson County Conservation District. Fifth period will do this in two weeks.

HW - None

Thursday - Second period will be setting the fish traps today. Then they will work on learning about cell sizes.

Fifth period will start with cell sizes then begin to learn the differences between animal and plant cells. They will explain in a blog what all cells have in common and how cells may differ.

HW - None

Friday - Today second period will retrieve the traps and we will ID and count anything we caught! Back in class we will start working on comparing animal cells to plant cells.

Fifth period will continue working on animal cells vs plant cells. They are drawing cells and labeling the parts looking for how animal and plant cells differ and how they are alike.
