Tuesday - Early Release.
5th period today. Today students took a mid-year reflection survey. Then we watched some videos about the psychology of success. We focused on learning about fixed vs growth mindsets. Ask your kids about it, it's pretty fascinating.

Wednesday - Early Release.
2nd period today. Today all 8th graders participated in career day by attending different sessions.

Thursday - 2nd period will take the mid-year reflection survey and watch the videos about the psychology of success (fixed vs growth mindsets).
5th period will be taking a few assessments to see where they're at (2nd period will too, as much as they can). There's one that asks what is an organism? There's one about the difference between an elodea plant cell and a paramecium, and then there's one about pieces of living things.
HW - I will hand out midterm grade sheets for students to take home today. 8th graders will also get a permission slip today for a short field trip next Wednesday.
Friday - Today 2nd period will work on the assessments they didn't get to yesterday. There's one that asks what is an organism? There's one about the difference between an elodea plant cell and a paramecium, and then there's one about pieces of living things.
5th period will have a class discussion about yesterday's responses to the organisms questions using social media.
