6th grade Science:

Monday through Friday - Tuesday I will show students how to graph their data. This week students will be graphing their data. They will have a graph of the 10 days we collected data on our creek and they will also graph their water quality parameter going back nine years.

Wednesday we will have a visitor from OSPI to see how 6th graders are doing with their water quality service-learning project. Students will share what they are learning about Chimacum Creek from the data they collected. (She arrived in time to talk to students in my 6th period class.)

Students will also continue researching their water quality parameters using the following organizer.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Second period will start working on the ribbon of life (pgs 28 & 29 if you click and use the link) activity while 5th period finishes it. We will go over our answers when everyone's done.

As students have time they need to finish their biotic and abiotic factors blog.

Tuesday - Students are still working on their ribbon of life (pgs 28 & 29 if you click and use the link) sheet answering the questions.

Wednesday - As students finish their ribbon of life (pgs 28 & 29 if you click and use the link) sheet we will go over the answers.

Thursday - Today 5th period will set the fish traps. 2nd period is still working on the ribbon of life (pgs 28 & 29 if you click and use the link) questions while 5th period only has two questions left to figure out.

Once 5th period is ready they will begin to plan a lab testing for bacteria in our school.

Friday - Today 5th period will identify and count the fish we caught. Then we will work on planning our bacteria lab for next week.

Today in 2nd period we will finish correcting the ribbon of life (pgs 28 & 29 if you click and use the link) sheet.
