Week 5, 4/25 to 4/29

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will finish answering the lesson 4 reflection questions then we'll go over the answers.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today we will go over the answers to the lesson 4 reflection questions. Students will have more time to finish their lesson 4 blogs as well.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today students need to finish their lesson 4 blogs. Once done they will read each other's blogs to give each other feedback by leaving comments. Students will then visit the other schools that we blog with to read their work and leave them feedback comments.

Those who are done will start making a list of forces that they know.

I will have a sub during 6th period while I meet with the Math and Science teachers from our middle and high school to work our WA STEM grant.

HW - None

Thursday - Today students finished working their lesson 4 blogs. Then we went over the answers to the questions.

HW - None

Friday - Today we will begin lesson 5 on forces. Students will learn how to use a spring scale.

HW - None

 

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will complete the snail question packet. Students will try and see their snail's heartbeat then they will look at different shells to see how scientists organize and classify shells.

Students also need to finish their snail blog assignment and comment on each other's work.

HW - None

Tuesday - Students are still working on their snail blog assignment and comment on each other's work.

HW - None

Wednesday - Once students finish yesterday's work they can begin watching a diversity of life movie to answer the following questions.

I will have a sub during 5th period while I meet with the Math and Science teachers from our middle and high school to work our WA STEM grant.

Thursday - Today we finished watching the diversity of life movie. Then students worked on the following questions.

HW - Read the article I sent home to be prepared for tomorrow. Each class chose between reading and discussing about slime molds or the disappearance of birds in New Zealand.

Friday - Today we will have a socratic circle discussion on an article each class chose. I gave them two to choose from.

HW - None
