6th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will finish their posters for the Youth Summit field trip tomorrow.

HW - Youth Summit Reminders:

1. Dress for rain and/or windy weather. (Just in case.)
2. When we get there someone will come on our bus to direct us.
3. We will put our lunches (clearly labeled with YOUR name) and our posters into a box until we need them.
4. Take your water bottle with you (a reusable water bottle is best, less waste).
5. The stations you will visit have stuff like research demos, farm features, interactive games, shellfish tasting, etc. Don’t worry if you don’t get to all of them.
6. At 10:30am we will gather at the Grand Center for the opening ceremonies. That will be the beginning of the sharing circles!
7. The school with the least amount of waste after lunch will have a donation made to a global non-profit organization whose mission is to end hunger in their name!

Tuesday - Today 6th graders will be at the Youth Summit field trip.

Wednesday - Today students will fill out a survey about yesterday's field trip then they will write about it on their blogs.

HW - None

Thursday - Today students will meet in their regular teams to start their lesson 6 friction labs. We will start with inquiry 6.1.

HW - None

Friday - Today is an early release day so classes are only about 20 minutes long. Students will work on their inquiry 6.1 lab to see if they could finish it today so they can start on 6.2 on Monday.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Friday - Today 8th graders will be working on the Elwha River ecosystem, rainforest ecosystem, or beach erosion Odyssey topics.

Monday I will have 2nd and 5th period for regularly scheduled Science.

Tuesday I will have 5th period like normal but not 2nd period due the Math MSP test.

Wednesday and Thursday 2nd and 5th period classes will be working on Odyssey prep stuff so they will not have any Science.

Then Friday we might have Science for both 2nd and 5th periods but it will be an Early Release schedule so classes are only about 20 minutes long. AND we'll be checking baggage so we'll be lucky if we get any Science time.

HW - Bring your Odyssey gear on Friday for a bag check. Then remember to bring your day pack with lunch on Monday.
