6th grade Science:

Monday - Memorial Day - No School!

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will check and see how far my 6th graders got on the simple machines webquest. They will have time to continue to work on that if they need it.

Wednesday - Today I will have a sub so that I can attend my last Science team meeting of the year!

Sixth graders will finish any part of lesson 6, parts 1, 2, or 3, that aren't done. Then they will work on their simple machines webquest!

Thursday - Today 6th graders will work on their simple machines webquest.

Friday - Today I will have a sub as well so that I can attend the last Science Leadership meeting of the year!

Today 6th graders will finish their simple machines webquest and/or start working on an activity to review forces and energy!

8th grade Science:

Monday - Memorial Day - No School!

HW - None

Tuesday - Today 8th graders will get a chance to show what they learned when we read the article about Dog Vomit Slime Mold. :o)

Then we will begin to study the Animal Kingdom's most diverse Class, Insects, of the Phylum Arthropoda!

Wednesday - Today I will have a sub so that I can attend my last Science team meeting of the year!

Students will continue to work on their study of the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach.

Thursday - Today 8th graders will continue to work on their roach packet learning about insects and their adaptations. If they brought what they needed they can begin to work with our cockroaches to observe how they react to different stimuli.

Friday - Today I will have a sub as well so that I can attend the last Science Leadership meeting of the year!

Today 8th graders will work on their roach packet. If they get done they will be able to reflect on what they learned by writing about roaches and insects on their blogs. They also have an Odyssey blog assignment where they can reflect on last week.
