Monday - Note: I have 6th grade Science 1st, 5th, and 6th periods. The way that is working out is that I start the day's lesson with 5th and 6th period so that means 1st period will usually be one day behind. I wanted to mention that so that parents don't get upset if their 1st period child seems one day behind! Sorry for the confusion.
Today students will use the following website to complete their Cispus Mt. Saint Helens trip book page. By visiting that website students can fully complete pages 12, 14, 15, and 16 in their trip books (all the Science pages).

Tuesday - Today I will give students some more time to finish their volcano types drawings and descriptions.
Then students will have their Internet Safety lesson (if you click on Show Menu then you can view it full screen) as we prepare for a year of using computers and the Internet and the WWW. I will give each student a copy of our district's Informed Consent Agreement and Permission to Publish form.
HW - Bring back the Informed Consent Agreement and Permission to Publish form signed (it's two-sided so show your parents both sides to sign).
If you have not finished any part of the volcano drawings and descriptions you can do that at home and finish it by Friday. Remember to watch the volcano movies on the class moodle if you are interested in volcanoes. (You only need to draw, label, color and describe the five volcano types! The four lava types are completely optional if you want to learn more.)
Wednesday - Today students will do the Internet Safety lesson by sharing with the class what they have learned.
HW - None unless you still need to bring back a signed form.

Thursday - Today students will finish the Internet Safety lesson.

Friday - Today students took a What is Learning survey. Then each team was assigned one of the survey questions to share through a whiteboarding acitivty.
