Week 6, 10/10 to 10/14

1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Note: I have 6th grade Science 1st, 5th, and 6th periods. The way that is working out is that I start the day's lesson with 5th and 6th period so that means 1st period will usually be one day behind. I wanted to mention that so that parents don't get upset if their 1st period child seems one day behind! Sorry for the confusion.

Today we will continue to work on the Water Pollution Webquest to answer the five questions that will help students write their water pollution public awareness announcement blog

HW - None

Tuesday - Today is an early release day and I will work with 1st and 5th periods today.

Students are starting to wrap up the note-taking phase of their Water Pollution Webquest. Those using ReadOutLoud learned how to use DraftBuilder to organize their notes and then WriteOutLoud to type their 1st draft.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today is an early release day and I will work with 6th period.

Thursday - Students are still working on their Water Pollution Webquest public awareness blog. As students submit final drafts to me I am giving them feedback. Once the drafts are ready for publishing I will approve them.

HW - None

Friday - Same as yesterday.

HW - None unless you are behind and need to catch up at home.

 

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will be setting up some miniponds for a later lab while setting up another lab to gain some more insight into living and non-living things. We will spend the week observing the different objects they will set up today. Some students are also still working on their What is Living blog assignment. Those what are done will work on commenting on other's blogs.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today is an early release and I will work with 3rd period.

Today 3rd period will setup their lab to see if they can prove whether any of five substances are living or non-living.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today is an early release and I will work with 4th period.

Today 4th period will setup their lab to see if they can prove whether any of five substances are living or non-living.

HW - None

Thursday - Today 4th period will set the fish traps.

Today teams are checking their experiments to see if they can any evidence to show whether their substances are living or non-living. As teams gather evidence they are to share their findings on their what is living blogs.

HW - None

Friday - Today 4th period will retrieve the fish traps to identify and count the fish.

Same as yesterday. Today is the last day to collect evidence of life for the five substances.

HW - None
