6th grade Science:

Monday - Still Winter Break.

HW - None, just get ready to start school again! :o)

Tuesday - Today I will review with 1st and 6th periods how to use the Labquest sensor interface with all the probes so that we can continue collecting data this week. Otherwise students will continue to work on their Salmon Life Cycle Webquest and the benthic macroinvertebrate activity.

Wednesday - The rest of this week 1st and 6th period will visit the creek to collect data as much as possible. Whenever we don't get to go to the creek students will continue working on their Salmon Life Cycle Webquest and the benthic macroinvertebrate activity.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Still Winter Break.

Tuesday - Today I will review with students what they should have finished before winter break. This will include the microorganisms activity, the microorganisms blog, the minipond blog, and the animal cell vs plant cell blog.

HW - None unless you want to catch up.

Wednesday - Today students will be looking at their own cheek cells using the compound microscopes. This is a continuation of our animal cell vs plant cell study. Once done students will clean up and continue working on their animal cell vs plant cell blog.

Thursday - Today I will show students how to use the results from our class social network to write a blog post. Students will also have time to complete their animal cell vs plant cell blog.

Friday - Today students will be working on a cell system activity.
