6th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will meet in their job alike water quality teams (D.O.'s meet together, pH's, turbidity's, etc). They will help each other finish graphing their data (they all have the same data in their job alike teams) and uploading their graphs to their blogs (see my Class Tutorial Videos numbers 16 and 17 for doing that step by step).

Their job is also to start planning their presentation to teach the class what they've learned.

Tuesday - Today students continued working in their job-alike teams to prepare their presentation to the class. I went around checking in and offering suggestions.

Wednesday - Today job-alike teams will continue to work on their class presentations as I come around helping.

Thursday - Same as yesterday.

Friday - Today is the deadline to finish the presentation so that Tuesday (Monday there is no school) teams can rehearse!

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today 8th graders will make glogs about themselves to add to their blogs.

Tuesday - Today 8th graders finished their about themselves glogs.

Wednesday - Today we are going to start learning about genetics. Kids learned a bit about Gregor Mendel. Then they did an activity to learn what Menel learned by cross breeding pea plants!

HW - None

Thursday - Today we are going to debrief yesterday's pea plant activity. Then we will do another activity about carnations (cross breeding).

3rd period set fish traps today.

HW - None

Friday - Today we will practice using Punnett Squares.

3rd period will retrieve the fish traps to ID and count the fish.
