Week 11, 2/27 to 3/2

1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will try to finish all the water quality presentations. In first period Flow Rate and Temperature still need to present, in 5th period Flow Rate and Temperature still need to present, and in 6th period Nitrates and Flow Rate still need to present and Temperature needs to finish.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will have a sub so that I can meet with my Math and Science Chimacum team.

Students will begin to write their final conclusion blog explaining how Chimacum Creek is doing using the notes and what they learned from each other's presentations.

HW - None

Wednesday - Students are still expected to work on their final conclusion water quality blogs. They are basically answering the question, "How is Chimacum Creek doing?" Students are expected to use the evidence they have observed as well as the data they have collected.

I will also show students where I put the pictures I took of them so that they can put those on their final blogs.

Thursday - Same as yesterday.

Friday - Same as yesterday.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will continue to work on the following genetics projects:

  1. Their punnett squares baby drawing.
  2. The SpongeBob punnett squares activity.
  3. The genetics diversity question.
  4. The genetics standards self-assessment activity.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will have a sub so that I can work with my Math and Science Chimacum team.

Everyone will continue to work on the activities mentioned above.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today I will check to see how far students have gotten with respect to the four items they had to complete (see Monday).

Based on how far students have gotten we may begin to work on our next unit of study (PLANTS) either today or tomorrow.

Thursday - Today students spent the whole period finishing their genetics activities. I went over the answers to the SpongeBob genetics activity.

Friday - Today I will give students some more time to finish all the week's activities then I will introduce our new plant unit to them. Here's the intro to the unit.
