This summer I re-applied for the new cycle of Learn and Serve Grants. This year they are working on funding sustainable projects and one area of sustainability they are funding is the environment. Well, our 6th grade Water Quality Project fit right in so I applied and got awarded $5,620 for this year!
I’m also looking for more equipment for 6th graders to study motion so I put together two projects on DonorsChoose.Org to see if I can get even more funding. I have a project called, “Does Velocity Require Constant Force?” And, “Friction Sometimes Gets in the Way.“
And don’t worry 7th and 8th graders, we are purchasing Science equipment for our Earth Science study this year through our building Science budget so don’t feel left out! Mr. DiPrete and I are planning a great year in Science for all of you. 🙂
