Goodbye to Chimacum Middle School

This September Chimacum School District will consist of a grades K through 2 primary school, a grades 3 through 6 elementary school, and a grades 7 through 12 jr and sr high school. In order to accommodate fewer students the middle school was consolidated into the elementary and the high school. I wrote about the restructuring here.

I am moving to the elementary as I will continue to teach 6th grade Science/STEM. That’s pretty cool because I love the 6th grade STEM Robotics 101 program and the Ocean Guardian School Environmental Stewardship Project that are so engaging for kids. I will miss getting to work with 8th graders and teaching 8th grade Science as well as the 7/8 STEM Robotics 102 class I taught this past year. I will also miss by after school tech club that did so many great things at the middle school.
