Mr. González' Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 1, 11/13 to 11/16 (This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.) Monday, 11/12/01 - No school, Veteran's Day. Blocks A/B Tuesday - No Second Step this week. We will begin by doing some Water Quality planning in preparation for our first field trip, which is coming up soon. Click here to see available jobs. Then groups will have time to work on their PowerPoint presentations. HW - None. Thursday - Today we will be busy choosing the film crew for our Water Quality study. We will watch a couple of videos on Watersheds, Living Watershed and Thinking Like a Watershed or Ground Water: The Flow from Below. Students will fill out a video debrief sheet. Then we will continue to work on the PowerPoint presentations. HW - None. Computers 2 Day one, Tuesday, 11/13/01: Second quarter Computers 2 will take place sixth period in room 408 with a new group of 8th graders. We will begin with the class syllabus and choosing groups. HW - Read and get course description signed with parents (both sides please). Rest of the week: Once topics are chosen, students will begin to completely storyboard their ideas. Students will then get some tips on Conducting Research. Then the research stage will begin where students use the computers to find information on their topics.
