Mr. González' Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 1, 1/28 to 2/1 (This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.) Blocks A/B Tuesday - Due to snow, we did not work on earthquakes today. HW - None Thursday - A block ends with Second Step, B block begins with Second Step. We will be reading about earthquakes (p. 154)! Then we will do the lab on the speed of earthquake waves. HW - Optional: for extra credit find more information on your water quality or soil topic. Blocks C/D Monday - Today we are going to read about earthquakes (p. 154)! We will review our reading strategies and reading jobs. HW - None. Wednesday - C block will have second step in language arts, D block begins with Second Step. We will finish reading about earthquakes (p. 154)! Today is an early release. HW - None Friday - Today we will do the lab on the speed of earthquake waves once students answer the questions on p. 159. HW - Optional: for extra credit find more information on your water quality or soil topic. Computers 2 This week: Monday is the last day for second quarter. Third quarter Computers 2 will start Wednesday, we didn't meet Tuesday because of snow, sixth period in room 408 with a new group of 8th graders. We will begin with the class syllabus. I will assign students to their new groups. HW - Read and get course description signed with parents (both sides please). Rest of the week: Most students this quarter will have this class for the entire semester so that they can learn more. Their project will be to create a website for a local business.
