Social Studies:

Tuesday - Math WASL test 2: 8:30am to 10:30am.

Today I will have my morning class 5th period and my afternoon class 6th period. In each class, we will be working on phase 1, the research phase, of our Canadian Vacation Project.

HW - None, we are working in class on the first part of phase 1 using student guides. I don't have enough student guides to let anyone borrow one to take home. I'm sorry. Once we begin the second part of phase 1 students will be able to work on their projects at home.

Wednesday - We will continue to work on phase 1 of our Canadian Vacation Project. as teams learn about the provinces they have been assigned.

3rd period - Project Alert with guest presenter, Kelly Matlock.

HW - None

Science:

Monday - Today students will be trying to finish their Science Explorer Earth Science textbook Chapter 12 section 3 notes. Today is the deadline so I will start grading their Chapter 12 notes today. If any student did not get a chance to finish in the time allowed, he or she is welcome to come in at lunch to work on the notes or to make arrangements to stay with me after school to work on the notes.

HW - None, due to the low number of books I have I am hesitant to let students take books home. I also ask students to leave their notebooks in class so they don't lose them, don't make excuses for not being able to work, and also so that I can grade them as time permits.

Thursday - Reading WASL test 2: 8:30am to 10:30am.

Ms Langston and I have been planning a WASL celebration today. We are having a movie room and games next door. Some kids are bringing snacks as well. Everyone did a great job getting ready for and taking the WASL! Can't wait to see their scores in the Fall.

HW - None

Friday - Today I will have my morning class 5th period and my afternoon class 6th period. The plan is to use our Water Quality notebooks to learn a new method of note-taking. Students will be using the Water Quality Websites I have collected for them to learn all about the different water quality tests we conducted on Chimacum Creek and the Hood Canal. I will show students how to take notes using the Cornell Note-Taking Method so they can try another technique.

Water Quality Online Database! It's almost ready for students to add their data! :o)

HW - Show your parents your progress report!
