Week 5, 1/15 to 1/19

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Daily Schedule
1st per -7:35am to 8:37am
2nd per- 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time: 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School.

HW - None

Tuesday - We will work on EMM lesson 9 today.

HW - Prepare for the test. The EMM Student website might help since you don't have access to your notebooks or textbooks.

Wednesday - We will try to finish EMM lesson 9 today.

We will be on an Early Release schedule today - dismissal at 12:40pm.

HW - Prepare for tomorrow's parts. The EMM Student website might help since you don't have access to your notebooks or textbooks!

Bring your calculator tomorrow or you will have to do the math by hand (which is okay I just want all students to have time to finish their test).

Thursday - We will start our EMM lesson 10 test today. We will finish it tomorrow.

Today we will get through part 1 of this 3 part test. Today's part will be the fun part because students will beassessed on a lab they get to do together.

 

HW - Bring your calculator tomorrow or you will have to do the math by hand (which is okay I just want all students to have time to finish their test).

Friday - Today we will finish our EMM lesson 10 test. Students will complete parts 2 and 3. Part 2 assesses students on how well they graph and analyze data from an experiment. Part 3 will be a multiple choice and short answer test.

There will be a Martin Luther King, Jr assembly today.

I will have a sub today as I attend a science training.

7th grade Science:

Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School.

HW - None

Tuesday - This week student teams will complete their Sink or Float practice presentation for feedback. Once all ten teams have completed their practice presentation, I will cycle back through all the teams for them to present for a grade.

HW - None

Wednesday - Same as Tuesday.

We will be on an Early Release schedule today - dismissal at 12:40pm.

HW - None

Thursday - Same as Tuesday. Every team has completed their practice presentation. Tomorrow is the last chance to fix anything that didn't quite work well during the practice round.

HW - None

Friday - Today students will get the whole period to fix their PowerPoint presentations, fix or complete their notecards, and rehearse their presentation. Next week all teams will present for a grade.

There will be a Martin Luther King, Jr assembly today.

I will have a sub today to attend a science training.

8th grade Computers:

Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School.

Tuesday - Today students continued to work on their Fireworks animations and I reminded them that they need to be blogging. Only six of the 14 students in this class have completed their first blog assignment.

Wednesday - Students will continue to work on their Fireworks animations.

We will be on an Early Release schedule today - dismissal at 12:40pm.

Thursday - I taught the first Flash lesson today because those students who were here wanted to learn. Tomorrow they will get to practice some more, but without my help.

Friday - Fireworks animations. Students who were here yesterday can try working on Flash but they can always work on Fireworks if they forgot what to do. The first Flash lesson is pretty dificult.

I will have a sub today to attend a science training.
