Week 6, 1/14 to 1/18

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:35am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Teams still have time to finish storyboarding or to work on typing the information for their water quality websites.

See last week's page for links to the handouts students got in class.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will show students how to make their bibliographies. Then they will have more tim to type.

HW - None and there are only 12 class periods left, as of today to work on the water quality websites!

Wednesday - Early Release today and Eagle Night from 7pm to 8pm for 6th graders and the poetry reading. Sixth graders are also encouraged to visit the Culture Fair displays from 6:30pm to 7pm.

Last chance to get bibliography and/or other typing done but this is for my 2nd period class only (due to assembly schedule today for the Rachel's Challenge assembly I will not see my 1st or 6th period classes).

Thursday - Student teams worked on their bibliography and typing their notes on Word.

HW - None

Friday - Tuesday I will begin to show students how to use Dreamweaver to create their websites because most teams needed the entire period today to keep typing their notes.

7th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will finish our osmosis lab - graphing and conclusion.

Per 4 lab write-up.
Per 5 lab write-up.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today we are going to finish our conclusions from yesterday and maybe some will have the opportunity to share their conclusions.

Then we will look at the Cells Alive website to draw and label all the parts of animal and plant cells so we can compare them. First though, we will review what we learned from the cells video about cells with nuclei vs cells with no nuclei.

Per 5 has about 5 minutes left of the second cells movie to watch so they can finish their notes and turn those in for a grade.

HW - None

Wednesday - Early Release today and Eagle Night from 6:15pm to 8pm for the Culture Fair display.

We will continue working on our cell drawings.

HW - None

Thursday - Students got on the Cells Alive website to draw their cells and to define the organelles. I will provide a sample here when I'm done.

HW - None

Friday - Students will continue to draw their cells and to define the parts of the cells.
