6th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will use the following website to complete their Cispus Mt. Saint Helens trip book page. By visiting that website students can fully complete pages 12, 14, 15, and 16 in their trip books (all the Science pages).

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will show students the pictures I took of Mt Saint Helens going back to 2003.

Then we are going to start changing gears to begin our Water Quality Project. I will show students some videos from years past.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today we will elect two students from each class to be the photographer and videographer for our Water Quality Project. Then I will ask students to select the top three jobs they would like to learn about.

HW - None

Thursday - Today students will learn who got the videographer and photographer jobs, what teams they are in and what water quality jobs they will be studying this year (all based on the choices they gave me for consideration). I tried to give students either the teammates they wanted or one of the top three jobs they wanted or both.

Then they will begin learning about Freshwater Pollution.

HW - None

Friday - Today students will be working on their Freshwater Pollution webquest. I showed them how to use a software program called ReadOutLoud to organize notes taken from the water pollution websites (the program also reads the websites to students).

HW - None
