Field Trips!

g_avatar1.gifThe 7th grade field trip was great! Thank goodness we got two beautiful Fridays in a row. My 7th grade Science classes are getting close to completing their field guide websites. Look here for when they go live! Also make sure your child shows you my blogging permission slip (see my homework page, week 9 for more info). Once we’re done with the websites we will start planting and doing experiments with our Wisconsin Fast Plants as well as growing our milkweed so we can get some Monarch Butterflies! Thank you Mr. Roberts for all the soil you gave us and thank you Mrs. Robocker for the great aquarium and thanks to all of you who brought milk cartons and two liter bottles. If you can still help us out we really need some kind of shelving for our little greenhouse. I purchased this greenhouse with grant money and we need shelves to start putting our plants in there. It’s 8 feet by 8 feet wide inside.

Sixth grade parents I really need the Nov 7, 8 and 9 permission slips so I can account for all the students who are going. If your child says he or she cannot go please stop by and see me so we can talk. Sixth graders have been doing a great job testing Chimacum Creek and now they need to learn what all that data means. I know they will do a wonderful job at all the Hood Canal sites we will be visiting in November. I’m excited.
